UPDATED CLUB RULES AND SAFETY MEASURES

[smartslider id=”8″ _made_with_builder=”true”][/smartslider]

Please read the rules below very carefully and make sure that you are fully prepared when coming to the club. We did our best to adopt public health officials’ safety guidelines and are making sure that all the measures recommended by them become a part of our everyday operations routine. We take the current situation very seriously and encourage you to do the same.

AROUND THE CLUB

All persons are required to WEAR A MASK or face covering while on premises of the club, however, it is not necessary to wear a mask while playing tennis.

All players and guests pass a temperature check in order to use an indoor facility.

SOCIAL DISTANCING (6 ft) is still recommended at all times, all persons (who do not reside in the same household) should maintain at least six feet distance from each other at all times.

Arrive no more than 10 minutes before your reservation or lesson and depart immediately after play.

Please try to use the restroom at home before you leave. Bathrooms are open but the shower & locker rooms are closed.

Congregating in the lobby or around the courts is not allowed. Sofas, tables, and chairs in the lobby will have been removed to allow for more space.

No food is allowed, water fountains are not available.  Clients are encouraged to bring their own water. Please be respectful and place all trash in the trash cans as well as not leave your tennis balls on the court when you are done.

Players, parents, & guests feeling ill should NOT come to the club.  All players (adults and children) should stay home when sick. If you are sick or a family member is sick, DO NOT COME TO THE CLUB.

ON THE COURTS

All players should wash hands with soap and water (20 seconds) before and after playing. There will be hand sanitizers available in the lobby, restrooms and on every court.

Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

No handshakes, high fives, fist bumps, chest bumps, huddles, group celebrations, etc.

Players must supply their own racquets. Demo rackets are not available.

HANDLING TENNIS BALLS

Players are required to use COVID Tennis Ball Etiquette. Here are few rules to adhere to while playing in different situations:

Court reservations / pre-match warm-ups: Players must bring two unopened cans of balls for play, ideally different numbers, or label them with their initials (four cans for doubles). Each player may only handle their own labeled tennis balls. Do not touch other people’s tennis balls with your hands. Use your racquet or your shoe and racquet to scoop up the tennis balls, bounce the balls off your racquet and hit it to another player. Please do not leave the balls on the court when you are finished. Balls are also available for purchase on-site.

Set or Match Play: Each player on the court needs to bring their own can of balls. When it is your turn to serve you will only use the 3 balls from your can. Other players on the court should not touch those tennis balls with their hands.  They can roll, kick, or use their racquet to pass the tennis balls to the server.  When your service game is over, then the next server gets the 3 balls from their can and is the only player that touches those 3 balls.  Use this tennis ball rotation throughout the set or match.

Junior and Adult group lessons: Each coach will have their own cart with balls. Players should not touch the balls, as only coach is allowed to use a hopper to collect the balls. Players can kick the balls to the net using their feet or rackets to expedite the process.

MEASURES WE ARE TAKING

We have installed a plexiglass barrier on the front desk along with a new c/c terminal with touchless features so the transactions can be made with minimum to no interactions.

We have also replaced paper towel dispensers with new, convenient, and safer touchless hand dryers.

All surfaces are being sprayed daily with a disinfectant. This applies to all surfaces, baskets, balls, hoppers, etc. High traffic areas will be treated more frequently as needed. Bathrooms are cleaned and disinfected several times during the day.

We also DISINFECT TENNIS COURT SURFACES (this might be overkill, but we do this for additional safety of our customers).

Staff and pros are washing hands more frequently and using hand sanitizer on a regular basis.

Hand sanitizers are conveniently placed in the lobby, restrooms, and on each court.

All group programs have been adjusted to satisfy CDC/Health Department's requirements (e.g. do smaller groups (up to 4 people), keep players 6ft apart when possible, etc).

All staff members will have to pass a temperature check when they arrive to work.

All staff and pros not feeling well will be asked to stay home.

Please note that although the restrooms remain open, showers will be unavailable until further notice.

Water fountains on the courts will be temporarily unavailable as well. We also had to take away the score trees.

All incoming and outgoing racquets for re-stringing get disinfected.
